As mentioned in my first Blog I am quit new to this. I have no idea if 600 views is good or bad - hey, I'm just a coffee roaster and quite new to this digital promotion game. One of my articles about East London had the majority of these views but sadly, I have not received one remark or comment...at least on Facebook one gets a few "likes" or comments but Blogging is clearly another animal. I will however persist but if you're out there, feel free to say hello :-).
Speaking of animals, we have just returned from a trip to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. We travel with a 4x4 trailer and I must say that this was truly a wonderful experience. Not our first, this is one of our favourite parks,. Below I have included a few of our pics selected from our trips. The only bummer was the last few days fell smack in the middle of a heat wave... now let me tell you, the Kalahari is bad enough in November but add a heat wave and you cook! I'm talking about over 40 deg.C daily! Between 14h00 and 17h00 was the worst, at 17h00 the gauge still showed 40!
A few highlights were coming across a family of Cape Foxes; an somewhat rare African Wildcat; cheetah and lion daily and an evening visit into our camp by a lioness - a true close encounter - we were in a camp on the Botswana side called Rooiputs which has no fences. These camps are indeed an awesome experience and offer "the wild" as it was meant to be. Enough for now...enjoy the pics folks.
